Lyn Amor Is Running To Find a Cure With Team in Training -- Leukemia Lymphoma Society!!!

Many of you know me as Lyn Amor: the student, the sister, ther daughter, the friend. Many of you also know me as Lyn Amor: cancer survivor. In 1982, at age 5, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Many years have passed since then, and today I am a strong and healthy individual that simply wants to do my part in the fight against cancer.

The training for the 26.2 mile marathon is no piece of cake, but it is nothing compared to suffering through chemotherapy. Believe me, I know! And I hope that the money raised for research through Team In Training will result in a cure for Leukemia in this lifetime.

Team in Training (TNT) is the nation's longest-running and most successful endurance training program. Through TNT, participants of all athletic levels receive support to achieve their ultimate goal of running or walking a marathon, cycling a 100-mile course, completing a triathlon, or experiencing the rugged terrain of a mountain biking event. Participants raise money to help patients and find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma, and myeloma. I'm doing MY part to help this cause that is near and dear to my heart.

I am running in honor of two very special people: Suzanne Salazar (age 10) and Imani Armstrong (age 10), both of whom have been diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Currently, they are both in remission.
